Parking and Pavement Survey Results (PDF)

The Key Results
- nine out of ten traders have a problem with parking and want more parking spaces
- three in four traders think we should have less double yellow lines
- two thirds of traders are opposed to a residents parking scheme
- nine out of ten traders think we need a north/south pedestrian crossing at the Gipsy Hill junction and cars should be allowed to turn between Central Hill and Gipsy Hill
- two thirds of traders think that street begging and vagrancy is affecting their business
- nine out of ten traders would like to see more police officers on patrol
- three in four traders think we need new public toilets and better street furniture

About The Survey
Copies of our survey were distributed to shops and businesses in Church Road, Westow Hill and Westow Street and adjoining roads during April 2004 and we received 42 responses.
